Ceramics mounted on frames - A series of 15 works

In this Science of Control series of works, Wei Keong tries to simulate a scientific experiment where natural material mined into ceramic oxides is broken down into atoms and molecules, using developed scientific technology and then recreated in the eyes of human perfection. Presented in the form of a glaze specimen plate, a dialogue is created using the nature of the crystalline glazes as a metaphor to show the tension in human relationship towards Nature – one of curiosity yet still showing controlling behaviour.
